Research projects
- MACrAA - Macromolecular aerosols in the cryosphere from the Arctic to the Alps (PI)
- Greenlandic Fjord ecosystems in a changing climate: socio-cultural and environmental interactions (GreenFjord) (collaborators)
Group Members
Currently the junior group consists of PhD Student Julian Weng and I. We are hosted at the Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry (LAC), Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), Switzerland, in Imad El Haddad’s Molecular Cluster and Particle Processes group.
PI - Patrik Winiger, PhD
Research Interest
I am interested in short-lived climate pollutants, their sources, effects on climate, health impacts, and potential mitigation pathways. This includes not only combustion products, but also other light absorbing aerosols and impurities in snow and ice; like algae, bacteria, dust, soot, or polymers. In short: macromolecules
